Dr. Mark Akin is a Board-Certified obstetrician/gynecologist in private practice in the Austin area. He received a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering prior to obtaining his Medical Degree and specialty training in OB/Gyn. In the 23 years since this training, he has treated thousands of women with uterine fibroids. As such, he is uniquely qualified as the Medical Director of Central Texas ExAblate, and he has been the driving force for bringing this technology to the women of Central Texas.

Dr. Christopher Seeker is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist who has been in private practice in the Austin area since 1991. He has one of the most popular practices in Austin, and has the largest surgical volume for female surgery in Central Texas. This experience is invaluable in helping women decide if the ExAblate procedure is a better choice over conventional invasive procedures. Dr. Seeker and Dr. Akin are the general partners for ExAblate of Central Texas.
